Job role: Freelance Executive Assistant with Project management experience


Role description

In order to deliver a 6m tall public sculpture, a local artist is seeking the part-time support of an outstanding Assistant/Project Manager to partner over the next year to assist with the on-time delivery of this project. 


The role will consist of half a day (4hrs) per week, focussing on the following:

- Facilitating, attending and minuting weekly meetings with the client, suppliers and advisors

- Updating project plans and ensuring that relevant parties are aware of and keeping to deadlines

- Identifying risks and bottlenecks in the project process


Key skills and experiences for the role are:

- Highly organised, ideally confident using project and organisational software (slack/trello etc…)

- Strong and confident communication skills, both verbal and written, in a formal and informal manner as appropriate

- Meeting facilitation - keeping things running to an agenda and sharing notes and action items swiftly afterwards

  • Advantageous to have experience in the construction industry and/or public sector


This role will suit you if you are comfortable working with minimal instruction and you have the confidence to thoughtfully challenge assumptions. Due to the wide range of personalities, professions and backgrounds you'll need to interact with, showing strong EQ and an ability to easily engage with people is essential and something you should enjoy.


Payment: £15-20 per hour, dependent on experience

Hours: 1/2 day per week

Where & When: Our creative studio is based in Bishop’s Stortford, Herts, so this would be ideal for someone local. We are flexible (and have safety in mind) when it comes to location - We envisage a mixture of on-site sessions and some via zoom & remote working, ideally on days when there are team meetings (currently Thursdays. Starting as soon as possible.
